Don't forget the Christmas Ham

We are serving a molasses soaked ham as part of our charcuterie section on our menus leading up to Christmas.

Moons Green makes a delicious ham, and it seemed only fair to offer you lovely folks the opportunity to purchase one of these for yourselves - half a leg or whole to take home for your Christmas table.

If you fancy this - please get in touch and register your interest here and we will be in touch shortly!

Happy Hams!

LONZO bread available at the new Druid St Market

This post is long overdue - The awesome Druid St Market has been trading for months now!  This new market which sits on the opposite side of the railway bridge next to the super popular Maltby St Market on Saturdays has been growing week by week.

Miranda York, who is the creator of the gorgeous magazine Toast - has curated an amazing line up of traders and we were thrilled to be asked to be involved. Some of the great stalls include the amazing Blackhand Charcuterie (based in Hackney) and the butter by Butter Culture (which is a wonderful accompaniment to our bread!)

One other great thing about this market is the rotating stalls - changing week to week, Druid St has seen the likes of Lilly O'Brien of London Borough Of Jam and the talented writer and cook Rosie Birkett do their thing.

I suggest if you haven't popped down this summer to do so soon before the winter takes hold.

LONZO LITE: Indigo Wines presents 'Natural Spanish Wines'

Indigo Wines are lucky enough to work with some of the greatest wine producers and have a fantastic knowledge on the Spanish industry at large.

There are some exceptional wines coming from Spain and some very interesting natural wine producers doing some very special things.

Some of the wines tasted will be

Escoda Sanahuja

Mas Candí

Alvaro Ribalta will take us all on a explorative trip - come and try some of these and leave with a bit more knowledge about this unique corner of wine.

LONZO LITE: The Charcuterie Board presents 'you say salume, I say charcuterie'

Matt Bedell, from the Charcuterie Board has been working with us at LARDO since before we opened, helping us develop the range of salumi with Native Breeds which we now sell at our restaurants.

Our collection of cured meats were inspired by Italy, but often they are described as charcuterie - a french word.

Matt, who knows more about meat then most, balances this knowledge with deep passion and experience both in the UK and France. He is perfectly apt at navigating the differences of salame and charcuterie and talk us through the basics of curing, the differences between regional cured meats including British and the continent and anything else that you have ever wondered about this fascinating topic.

You will leave this talk knowing your coppa from your lonza and your salami from your salume. Job done.

The Launch of LONZO LITES

Getting back to it, come September we are hosting a collection of short and snappy chats with makers, producers and know-it-alls.

We all love to have a bit of a sticky beak into the behind the scenes activities and these days there are so many people doing some really interesting things that we have invited them to give us a bit of a look in to their genius.

These are FREE events, and each one is intended to give a bit of depth to a specific issue or question we have been pondering.

Ever wondered the difference between the cured meats and the process in making them? Perhaps wanted to know how to ice a cake like the professionals? What's the big deal about Stoneground flours?

You will be able to find out this and much more when you attend..

Each LITE has an eventbrite page which gives you a bit more info on the talker and the subject. Feel free to register your interest, but also feel free just to pop down.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Damian Currie's back for one night only

It is with great pleasure that we welcome back Damian for a special one-off dinner at LONZO.

Damian Currie was a key part of our opening team at LARDO, running the kitchen for the first 2 years and creating a distinct signature for the restaurant.

Always a fan of simplicity and of seasonality, Damian's food is both celebratory of tradition whilst remaining modern.

This dinner, celebrating the bounty of Autumn will be a feasting 5 course menu and is not to be missed.

For those who want the full experience, LONZO's Luke Clarkson has designed a fantastic wine tasting menu to match - alternatively our full wine list will be available.

This is being held at LONZO on September the 7th and costs £38 plus wine and service. Bookings can be made through EventBrite here and for any further information, please email or phone LONZO on 0203 0210 746.

MENU is here to view. Wine Menu is available to view here.
